AHA Heartsaver Pediatric FA CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches child and infant CPR and AED use, and how to relieve choking in children and infants. As well, this course teaches students critical skills for initial pediatric emergency management. This includes first aid skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
This course is designed for individuals who need pediatric CPR and first aid certification for personal reasons or for work/school purposes. This class is ideal for the layperson, as well as individuals such as child-care workers, teachers, foster-care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course meets the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all U.S. states.
AHA Heartsaver First Aid Pediatric CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course where students participate in hands-on practical scenarios. During the course, students work with our AHA Instructor to complete the skills practice and skills testing required.
CME/CE credits are not offered for this course.
Students shall receive their AHA Heartsaver Pediatric FA CPR AED Course Completion eCard within 24 hours of course completion. This certification is valid for two years. Students can expect to receive an email from ecards@heart.org or noreply@heart.org, with a link to claim their eCard.
